Meinhardt Announces Brand Integration Initiative MFT joins parent brand and becomes Meinhardt Facade

United Arab Emirates (24 July 2011) - Meinhardt Group, the engineering, infrastructure and project
management consulting firm, today announced the first step in its brand integration initiative as
Meinhardt Facade Technology (MFT) migrates under the parent name. MFT will now begin the
process of positioning itself as Meinhardt’s facade engineering team, a highly specialised facade
design and engineering consultancy with a record of more than 1,300 projects in the last 20 years on
some of the world’s most iconic buildings.

MFT has operated across the Middle East, as well as Asia and Australia, since 1988. MFT has
offered consulting services on a range of well-known development projects here in the Gulf such as
Dubai Mall and the Rolex Tower on Sheik Zayed road, Ocean Height in the Marina and the Nad Al
Sheba race course grand stand in Dubai, Central Market in Abu Dhabi, United Towers in Kuwait and
the King Abdulla Financial District in Saudi Arabia. International projects include The Center in Hong
Kong, Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore, Eureka Tower in Melbourne, World Trade Centre 3 in
Beijing, Citic Square in Shanghai and the Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3 in New Delhi.

With its fully integrated status MFT can optimize Meinhardt’s full suite of capabilities for seamless
delivery of high quality yet cost-effective designs and solutions. The addition of the facade
engineering team from MFT enables Meinhardt to become one of the few multidisciplinary
consultancies in the world to offer facade engineering, a rising professional discipline that is critical in
the design of high performance and low-carbon buildings.

“MFT’s integration under Meinhardt makes us on one of the few global consultancies that can offer a
multidisciplinary team of such depth and breadth,” said Dr Shahzad Nasim, Meinhardt’s Global Chief
Executive Officer. “In addition, the facade engineering business is now even better placed to develop
and deliver the plans already in place to grow its international footprint.”

“Facade engineering is progressively recognized as an integral part of the development process,
which makes this point in Meinhardt’s evolution all the more exciting,” said Mathieu Meur, Managing
Director of Meinhardt Facade Technology (MFT) International. “Meinhardt’s facade team will continue
to offer unparalleled service levels, combining the experience and expertise that our clients have
come to expect.”
