Abu Dhabi’s Al Hassan achieves hat-trick of prestigious quality standard certifications


Abu Dhabi 29 July 2011 - Leading Abu Dhabi-based engineering, procurement and construction
company, Al Hassan Engineering Abu Dhabi LLC (AHEC-AUH) has been awarded two new ISO certificates,
bringing to three, the number of prestigious qualifications the company holds. They become only one of
a handful of local companies in the GCC to hold multiple ISO certificates.

The new certificates in Environment Management System Standards and Occupational Health and
Safety Management System Standards are given by the International Organisation for Standardisation
for good quality management practices. They were presented to Al Hassan Engineering’s CEO Peter Hall
by ISO assessors Vincotte.

“As concerns about global climate change grow, an increasing number of our customers are demanding
that our processes and systems are demonstrably respectful of the environment. These certifications are
evidence of our continued commitment to pursuing world-class systems and processes,” said Hall.

“ISO certification means that AHEC has built quality into its business processes to not only meet but
to exceed customer expectations,” he adds. “Being triple ISO certified is a very powerful difference
that sets us apart in today's marketplace. It demonstrates our commitment to serving the needs of our
customers and strengthens our dedication to quality and innovation in multiple areas of our business.”

The scope of both new ISO standards apply to a wide range of AHEC-AUH operations such as Project
Management, EPC Contracts, Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Construction and
Maintenance Services for Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power, Fertilizer, Cement, Water and Infrastructure
Projects across all the UAE.
