Public parks timings change during Ramadan

Public Parks and Horticulture Department at Dubai Municipality has announced the change of
working hours during Ramadan, considering the high rate of visits by families and bachelors after
Iftar and their staying in parks in late hours.

The visiting timing in large parks of Mamzar, Mushrif, Al Khor, Zabeel, Al Safa and Jumaira beach
is from 8 am to 12 am. The pond parks of Al Quz, Al Barsha, Al Qusais and Al Nahda and parks in
residential areas and public squares would be open from 8 am to 2 am. The zoo will be operating
from 10 am to 5pm.

Ahmed Abdul Kareem, Director of Public Parks and Horticulture said that pubic parks are the best
and ideal place for mass iftar and suhur. Organisations, companies and government authorities are
most welcome to use the facilities of public parks for this purpose during Ramadan.

In addition, the walking tracks in 33 public parks in Dubai witness a tremendous response from the
public for the municipality’s ‘Yalla Walk –Every step is Reward’ initiative. The initiative supported
by Al Maktoum Foundation and Al Fattan Properties was kicked off at the beginning of Ramadan in
the public parks of Dubai. The move is aimed at educating the public about healthy habits during
Ramadan, raising charity funds and encouraging people to walk in any of walking tracks across
Dubai.

Municipality also apologizes for the inconvenience caused by the closure of swimming pools in
Mushrif park during Ramadan for maintenance. It will be open during Eid days.
