generated significant industry interest at Intersec 2011, the largest security
conference and exhibition in the Middle East.
Visitors to the Schneider Electric stand at Dubai International Convention and
Exhibition Centre witnessed a demonstration of key products and were offered
technical details of various systems. Products that evinced huge interest at the
13th edition of the event include Pelco Endura video management system, hybrid
DVRs, megapixel and IP cameras, Pelco Spectra PTZ cameras, thermal imaging
cameras, and the Andover Continuum access control system.

Intersec 2011 has also set the stage for the upcoming launch of Schneider
Electric’s new hybrid video recording solutions DX4700 and DX4800 video
recorders, which are slated for release in March.
Designed to help customers make a sensible migration to IP and megapixel
video, these newest additions to the Pelco DX Series of DVRs and HVRs offer 8
or 16 analog channels plus two megapixel inputs, full-motion recording on all
channels, and up to 4CIF image resolution. With DX4700 and DX4800 HVRs,
users can leverage investments in their existing analog video infrastructure while
gaining the benefits of new megapixel imaging.
An estimated 22,000 visitors attended the 13th edition of Intersec that concluded
on 18 January at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
