INTERSEC TO HIGHLIGHT LATEST TRENDS IN SAFETY AND RISK MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS FOR CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY; 60,000 deaths in the sector out of 2.3 million workplace fatalities worldwide

Accidents at construction sites continue to cause concern as statistics by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) indicate that they are a major cause of workplace deaths. According to figures, fatalities at construction sites have in the past led to 60,000 deaths out of 2.3 million workplace fatalities studied worldwide.

With around 90 per cent of accidents at work attributed to human error, industry leaders and local authorities are looking to implement stringent measures to bring the count down considerably.
