DM opens Al Barsha-3 Park


As part of the ongoing activities of Dubai Municipality on the occasion of the 31st Plantation Week, the fourth day saw the opening of a new park at Al Barsha-3.



Obeid Salem Al Shamsi, Assistant Director General of Dubai Municipality for International Affairs and Partnership Sector, Eng. Abdullah Mohammad Rafia, Assistant Director General for General Support Services Sector, Eng. Salem Bin Mesmar, Assistant Director General for Health, Safety and Environment Monitoring Sector, Eng. Salah Amiri, Assistant Director General for Environmental and Public Health Services Sector, Hamdan Khalifa Al Shaer, Director of Environment Department and a number of senior officials, invitees and staff of Public Parks and Horticulture Department, representatives of horticulture companies, and a large number of school students were present on the occasion.



Ahmed Abdul Karim, Director of Public Parks and Horticulture Department said that the park, constructed at a total area of about 2.03 hectares, is classified in the group of residential neighbourhood parks, dedicated to serve the residents of Al Barsha-3 area.



He said the park contains most advanced facilities like jogging track with international specifications, football, volleyball, basket ball, beach volleyball and lawn tennis courts, fitness equipments, rest areas, play areas for kids, shaded and open areas, in addition to a canteen.
