Outgoing American Consul visits DM


The American Consul-General in Dubai, Mr. Paul Sutphin thanked Eng. Hussein Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality and its employees and commended for their tireless efforts which led to good relations and close links between Dubai and the cities of America through twinning agreements entered into with the cities of Detroit and Phoenix, adding that it was also the fruits of the good relations and effective communication between the two sides.

This came during his visit to Dubai Municipality on Thursday. The visit marks the end of his tenure in the consulate in Dubai. Mr. Sutphin praised the efforts of the civic body and the outstanding services it provides to the community in addition to the remarkable role it played in supporting the development and progress experienced by the city's present and desired future.

Mr. Lootah presented the outgoing US Consul General with a memento in honour of his visit and wished him and the staff at the consulate every success. He also emphasized the need for continuing with the interaction between its officials and the Municipality.

During the meeting, both the officials held consultation on matters of the relationship between the two parties and the related areas of municipal work and exchange of experiences to support the cooperation frameworks of common interest.

Mr. Lootah underlined the importance of communication and interdependence between the two so as to enhance the close ties between them and confirm their continuation.
