DUBAI 22 March, 2009 --- Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline has taken the next step in online innovation by launching Mobile, a convenient, new facility for customers accessing the Emirates website from their mobile devices.
Travellers who access from a mobile browser (on their phone or PDA), will be automatically redirected to the mobile version of the airline’s website. The facility is compatible with over 3000 devices and allows customers to interact with Emirates from almost anywhere in the world.
Mobile subscriptions account for one of the fastest growing areas of Internet usage with the increase of mobile phones, PDA’s, smart phones, Blackberry’s and iPhones. According to recent research from Informa Nielsen mobile, there are four billion mobile phone subscriptions globally, emphasizing the importance for airlines to offer online facilities for travellers on the move.
