The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department services will now be available at Dubai Municipality customer service centres all over the emirate. The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department on Wednesday signed a cooperation agreement with Dubai Municipality enhancing mutual relations.
Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality signed the agreement on behalf of the Municipality while the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department was represented by its Director General, Dr. Hamad Al Sheikh Al Shaibani.
The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, through the agreement, will offer some of its services through the Municipality Customer Services Centres in order to simplify procedures for the customers to obtain the services offered to them with ease. Two employees of the Municipality will be allotted for this purpose reflecting the integration of providing government services.
The services include providing the list of authorized charity organizations in Dubai, Search Fatwa, audio-visual library of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, religious lectures and classes in mosques of Dubai, search mosques in Dubai, list of speakers who deliver Friday sermons in mosques in Dubai, display and downloading of Friday speeches, List of Islamic centres and Quran memorization centres in Dubai, and displaying prayer times.
The agreement also stipulates that Dubai Municipality will provide administrative and operational support for the above mentioned services and will ensure required human resources for those services.
The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department will undertake the training of service staff of the Municipality providing them access to the service programmes intended to be provided, in addition to providing two coordinators to support the service staff of the Municipality, evaluating the work flow during the provision of services for one month from the date of agreement.
