DM to publish a souvenir book on its history and achievements

A team has been formed to publish a souvenir book under the title ‘History and Achievements of
Dubai Municipality 1954 – 2011’ in an effort for the documentation of Municipality’s history and
achievements since its incorporation.

This came as an administrative decision issued by Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General
of Dubai Municipality. The team will be presided by Rashad Bukhash, Director of Architectural
Heritage Department, and Ms. Amina Mohamed Bashir, Head of Documents and Records
Management Section.

Farhan Hassan Marzouqi Head Corporate Marketing and Exhibitions Section, Abdul Rahman
Mohamed Khaled, Head of Documentation Unit, Tariq Ahmed Al Zarouni, Head of Records
Management Unit, Saeed Mohammed Obaid Al Suwaidi, support officer and Khalifa Salim Ali
Mohammed, Senior Archive's officer are the team members.

The team is responsible for the task of collecting data and historical documents about the
Municipality and its achievements from 1954 to 2011. The souvenir would include important
information such as establishment history of the Municipality, development stages, decision to
appoint the Chairman, General Directors with their names and number of employees since its
inception until 2011.

It will also include the evolution of overall organizational structure since its inception, functions
and responsibilities, engineering structure and stages of establishment and development of various
municipal buildings enhanced by images, in addition to the other relevant information related to
the various departments and its operation systems.
