Symantec annual partner summit to focus on profiting from new technology trends.
Dubai, United Arab Emirates – June 14, 2011 – Symantec’s annual partner summit to be held on
Wednesday 15 June will focus on Symantec’s partner specialization programme and the importance of
creating a channel with specific skills for implementing information security, availability and compliance
solutions.
Ramzi Itani, channel manager at Symantec, said specialisation will equip partners to deliver
technology and services to customers wishing to adopt virtualization, cloud computing and mobile
technologies. “These technology trends promise to support greater business agility and a more cost-
effective computing environment,” he said. “However, they are also potentially disruptive to a business.
Our partner specialisation programme focuses on information rather than technology, thus providing a
cross-platform, hardware- and operating system-independent capability that will help drive successful
integration. For example, a partner that specialises in data loss prevention will be able to provide the
client with a complete solution irrespective of the technology platform a customer has in place.”
Symantec’s partner specialization encompasses data loss prevention, IT compliance, endpoint
management, enterprise security, archiving and e-discovery, high availability solutions, storage
management, encryption and data protection.
“Technology trends come and go, but all companies have information that needs to be secured and
managed consistently,” he said. “Our specialisation model will ensure that customers have access to the
best skills, and specialist partners will have available tools and benefits to help them derive profitable
growth from Symantec.”

I have used Kaspersky protection for a few years, and I'd recommend this Anti virus to everyone.
