Stanley Hand Tools opens its first standalone showroom in Dubai

The 1500 square feet outlet on Sheikh Zayed Road is the first largest store in the
UAE

Dubai, March 07, 2012: Stanley Hand Tools, a leading provider of innovative solutions

in hand tools, has announced the launch of its largest store in the UAE. Located on

Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road, this is the first standalone outlet of Stanley Hand Tools in

the country.

Sprawling across a vast area of 1500 square feet, the store curtails 2000 stock-keeping

units and offers hand tools and equipments that are required in the day-to-day lives of

the consumer – both for industrial and home use. Offering an un-paralleled variety, the

store offers one-stop-shop solution to customers looking for hand tools.

The showroom was inaugurated in the distinguished presence of Mr. Colin Earl, Vice

President, Stanley Black & Decker - Europe, Middle East & Africa, along with Mr. John

Wyatt, President Stanley Black & Decker, EMEA, Mr. Daniel Clark, General Manager,

Stanley Black & Decker, MEA, and Mr. Sebastien Geliquot, Commercial Manager,

Stanley Black & Decker, MEA and Mr. Sajid Mahmood, Managing Director, Al Wifaq

General Trading – the distributors of Stanley Hand Tools in the UAE.

Commenting on the opening of the new outlet in Dubai, Mr. Mohammed Pansari, Senior

Manager at Al Wifaq General Trading, the distributors of Stanley Hand Tools in the UAE,

The Stanley Works, originally a bolt and door hardware manufacturing company was

founded in 1843 by Frederick T. Stanley and located in New Britain, Connecticut. Few

years later, in 1857, Frederick’s cousin, Henry Stanley, founded The Stanley Rule and

Level Company. In 1920, The Rule and Level Company merged with the Stanley Works

and would go on to become its famous Hand Tools Division.
