DM signs service agreement with Civil Defence



Dubai Municipality on Wednesday signed a service agreement with Dubai Civil Defence aiming at
providing certain services of Civil Defence through the service centres of the Municipality in order
to fulfil various customer requirements and obtain their satisfaction providing services via quick and
simple procedures, as well as to implement the Cooperation agreement between both parties on
22 April 2007.

The agreement has been signed by Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai
Municipality and Major General Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defence.

The services under this agreement include penalty payment, shop and company permits, request
for inspection of facilities for completion certificate, training for government establishments and
departments on fire extinguishing, awareness lectures for establishments, requests for voluntary
service, representative card, fire evidence, and electricity reconnection for events sites and tends.

The agreement also stipulates that the Municipality shall provide administrative and operational
support and manpower for these services. The Civil Defence will train the service employees of
the Municipality and provide them with entry passes to the service programs to be provided. Civil
defence will also provide two coordinators to support the service employees of the Municipality
and evaluate the work flow for the period of minimum one month from the agreement signing
date.
